Who Is The Father of Search Engine Optimization (SEO)?

Recently, I took an SEO assessment, and one of the questions on it asked who the father of SEO was. Five years deep into learning about and performing Search Engine Optimization, it had never occurred to me to research the history of how SEO got started until now. This is what I found:

The term "Search Engine Optimization" (SEO) was coined in the mid-1990s, and it is difficult to attribute its creation to a single individual. Another notable figure is Danny Sullivan, a journalist and entrepreneur who founded Search Engine Watch, a prominent website covering the search engine industry. Sullivan has been actively involved in the SEO community and has contributed to its growth and understanding through his writings, conferences, and industry advocacy.

While these individuals are often recognized for their contributions to SEO, it's important to note that SEO is a collaborative field, and its development has involved the efforts of many professionals, researchers, and search engine companies over the years.
